Scholes Gym
Primal are delighted to be part of the successful opening of Scholes Gym, Oldham. We worked with Arron and Alicia to turn an old warehouse into a state-of-the-art gym in 6 months.
This 10,000sq ft gym, spread over two floors includes functional fitness area, plate loaded machines, customised weights, bespoke prowler track and is finished off with a fantastic class based studio.
Their idea for opening this space was born out of time spent working out as a family in lockdown and a desire to give back to their local area. They wanted to open a gym in their local community that would be not only a state of the art training facility but a warm and welcoming environment.
Having been recommended to them, and then seeing the other gyms we’ve worked on, they reached out to us. Ensuring the highest quality of gym equipment was able to be provided was a key factor for them.
From there we worked closely with the team not only on helping them choose the right pieces of gym equipment, but on advancing the gym design and layout of the space. Making sure every piece was carefully chosen, and the flow of the space maximised was crucial in bringing their vision to life.
To give their customers the best training experience, they wanted to bring in unique, well-designed pieces. Featured kit such as our Performance Power Racks with Custom Platforms, Primal Strength Monster Series Standing Lateral Raise, Plate Loaded Incline Fly and Pendulum squat were chosen for the quality of design and as differentiating pieces that most gyms aren’t able to provide.
Another key element was our custom gym equipment. ensuring their brand was highlighted helped to elevate the premium, modern aesthetic. This meant custom branded steel dumbbells from 3kg up to 50kg, branded lifting platforms and a custom branded Scholes Gym Astro turf that runs 12m through the heart of the facility.
